Four in 10 workers have less than $10,000 saved, excluding their homes and benefits plans, according to a new report on retirement confidence by the Employee Benefit Research Institute. According to a Wall Street Journal report:
- 13% said they felt very comfortable about having enough for a comfortable retirement (down from 18% last year)
- 72% said they plan to find paid work to supplement their retirement living (up from 63% last year)
- 89% said they plan to postpone their retirement to save more money
