Experts said that U.S. warnings will not affect tourism...

Douglas Anderson, president of the worldwide group of travel agents Carlson Wagonlit, said that tourists in this country do not take into account these alerts to their travel decisions.

Security alerts released by the U.S. government had not influenced the decision of the people of that country to travel to Mexico, held Douglas Anderson, president of the worldwide group of Carlson Wagonlit travel agencies.

Exemplified that Carlson Wagonlit, which met 80 years of operating in Mexico, decided to meet here for operational reasons but took into account the warning of travelers released by the Department of State of the United States last February 20.

While acknowledging concern about the issue said that the general public in the United States little consultation and its decisions travelers almost never relate to them, but companies that do business meetings to take it into account.

The steering explained that last year his company's sales grew 26 percent in Mexico, which ranked first in growth among the 150 countries where it operates.

In turn Marino Faccini, vice president for Latin America of Carlson Wagonlit, said that Europe is not listening to security alerts by governments to recommend that people avoid traveling to Mexico.

He assured that the company maintains significant operations in connection with sale of travel to Mexico, especially of Spanish companies interested in holding meetings in this country.

He said that there is full confidence of Europeans in the safety of travel to Mexico and stressed that it was found that business travelers emphasize that ensures their integrity and personal property when they move to another country.

On prospects of tourism business in Mexico, Mauricio Baranda, director general of the Mexican subsidiary of Carlson Wagonlit, said that the difficult economic environment this year could be lost 10 percent of small travel agencies in the country, equivalent to about 300.
